Day Two - Fun in New England

After spending last evening in Boston the original plan was to get early and drive through New Hampshire to Maine just to check those two states off our list of places visited, but there was so much we didn't get to see in Boston that we decided to make plans for another trip back soon, so we rerouted our trip and saved ourselves 200 miles on this one.  So until then Maine.



So we start driving and head to South Deerfield, Massachusetts and the Yankee Candle Village.

Lots of scents and things to explore, then it's back on the road. This time we head north again to Waterbury, Vermont and

Time has come to say goodbye to New England and get ready for a long drive to Palmyra, New York where we will spend the night and be ready to explore the Church Historical sites Tomorrow.

Fantasy Cruise days 3 through 6

Day three of our adventure brings us to the port of Charleston, South Carolina. This historic southern town offers us many shore excursions.  We limit our choices to the top six 1. Historic walking tour with Nathaniel Russell House 2. Boone Hall Plantation and Historic Charleston 3. Historic Charleston City Tour 4. Fort Sumter & Historic Charleston 5. Magnolia Gardens 6. The Ghosts of Charleston Walking Tour This was a hard decision.  Should we pick number 4 or number 5?  Well this is all just imaginary anyway so let's do both cue Hermione and her time turner. Fantasy Cruise - Days 14-16 Greenland

So I guess you thought we didn't make it across the Atlantic since it has been a while since our last update, but no we are safe just busy with life -  proof of the need for a fantasy vacation.  Our ship arrived in Nuuk, Greenland at 9am on July 14, 2016 or day 14.  Sadly on this day in Nice, France while celebrating Bastille Day, there was a terrorist attack and all of Europe is in mourning.  Add the confusion of Britain's withdrawal from the European Union and the world is a mess, but we are having a fantasy vacation so in our world all is happy and bright.   There are no organized tours for this port and it is an anchor port, meaning if we want to see anything we need to catch a tender to shore.  Luckily the tender pier is right by the National Museum and Tourist Information Office.
